Description

The Devourer is a giant (or from The NecroMerger's perspective, small) Cthulhu-esque squid that will eat literally anything, and can evolve as a result. This is your main goal of the game, and dictates the pacing; along with what you want to merge.

While anything can be given to The Devourer to eat (except for your final Graves, and the NecroMerger), you mainly want to feed it minions that give it lots of food, which is the equivalent of experience points.

When trying to feed the Devourer a station, you will be prompted by a confirmation screen. For this reason, one shouldn't worry too much about accidentally feeding it.

Levels

The Devourer can only reach a given maximum level each run, the initial maximum being level 40. You may increase the maximum level through resetting your progress with the Time Machine, losing your current level in the process. The highest possible level a player can reach is currently level 100.

The following tables will list all of the diverse rewards that can be unlocked with each Devourer level.

Skins

The Devourer's skin can be changed by going to the Craving tab on the left side of the screen, then select the third tab at the bottom right. Each skin has 4 sizes and unlocked skin grants a permanent bonus.

Trivia

• The Devourer grows larger and more monstrous every time a new Craving Slot is unlocked
  • Craving Slots are unlocked at Level 3, 21, and 41, meaning that The Devourer has 4 total forms.
  • Complimenting this, the main theme "The Devourer's Melody" gains a new segment for each growth
    • Before unlocking your first craving, a unique theme plays. This is not found on the Bandcamp page like the others.
