Cravings are unlocked at Devourer Level 3 and serve as a boosting mechanic to Devourer's level. They give 
Food bonuses when certain minions
or components are fed to The Devourer. Different cravings are unlocked at different levels, and the chance of getting certain cravings decreases or increases as Devourer level increases.
Up to 3 Cravings can be blocked with the help of The Dietician.
The Craving bonus doesn't apply to the Guzzlers.
